When you come to us with your construction or remodeling project, you want to fulfill your property’s potential. We begin by asking specific questions to determine your needs and desires for your home. Designed to guide you in thinking through every aspect of your build, we ask the questions you didn’t know you needed to ask. These early conversations ensure that you get the home you envision within the budget you need. Our expertise ensures that you’re not on your own in the decision-making process; we will help you know which materials, finishes, and structures will best suit your goals

Because we are local, Rangeley Building and Remodeling has extensive specialist knowledge of the area and its unique building needs. We are prepared for all of Maine’s seasons, ready to weatherize your home and capable to build even in harsh conditions. We know and understand all of the details of land use planning and permitting, and we handle it all for you. You never have to worry if your home is within the many guidelines for the area.

During your build, you’ll have a large, dedicated, and experienced team of craftsmen working on your home. We keep all lines of communication open throughout the entire process; you stay as involved in the process as you want. We ensure that you have clear expectations for all aspects of your build or remodel. This is your home, and we care for it as if it were our own.

Design Process

First Meeting

Cost: Complimentary

Tell us about your project. Let’s decide if we are a good fit to work together.

  • Is your site or building a feasible project?
  • What is your budget?

Design/Development Agreement

Cost: 6% of projected construction costs

We will provide you with a projected estimated cost of your project + or – 10%. If you move forward with the agreement, we will provide you with:

  • Full plans for the project.
  • Full specifications and a fixed price for the project.
  • Help in choosing selections.
  • Window, door, fixture and finish schedules.
  • Permitting.

Timeframe for design/development process: 3 – 6 months

Construction Contract

Cost: Fixed price.
Down payment with monthly installments after that.
  • Frequent communication throughout the project with our construction management software.
  • Meetings as needed to go over any on site items.
